He has his Masters of Science from the University of Texas at Austin, where he conducted several studies centered around BFR as it relates to the cardiovascular system. He is now a Ph.D. Candidate at UT Austin, where he works with aging populations as his dissertation work focuses on the vascular responses to hypoxia in older adults. Sten is also a BFR Master Trainer and works at ROI Performance Center, where he prescribes BFR protocols and methodologies for clients of all ages and lifestyles. Sten has also applied BFR in his work with Olympians and elite military personnel.
