Fueled by the question, “How good can I be?” Dr. Gladden transitioned from a conventional health care approach to championing peak human performance. Today, his life is a testament to this transformation, exemplifying boundless vitality through activities like running, surfing, mountain biking, and music. Dr. Gladden’s journey beckons us to embrace our ageless potential and embark on a path to Live Young for a Lifetime.

Dr. Jeffrey Gladden’s story is one of remarkable transformation and pioneering vision. With a background in interventional cardiology, he founded Gladden Longevity + Advanced Performance Center. Graduating from Temple University with Honors in Medicine, he delved into various cardiology domains, leaving an indelible mark on the field. Dr. Gladden holds the position of Director of Heart Attack and Stroke Prevention and Cardiac Rehabilitation at The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano, which he co-founded in 2004. Additionally, he plays pivotal roles at Scientia Cardio Access and Scientia Vascular as CEO, CMO, and board member. Despite these achievements, his personal and professional life encountered a pivotal shift in his mid-fifties.

Tammy Head, a seasoned healthcare professional combines hands-on experience with academic prowess. Graduating in Nursing from Gulf Coast State College in 2016, Tammy excelled across roles spending six years in the ER and gaining expertise in wound care and long-term acute care. She capped her educational journey with a 2022 Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Tammy’s interest in healthcare flourished during high school, sparked by captivating stories from family ER nurses. Through various shifts in college, her dedication to nursing only grew stronger, influenced by the allure of those ER narratives.

At the core of Tammy’s beliefs is empowering patients through education and independence. Unlike traditional medicine, her focus is on helping patients understand their choices and potential results, enabling them to decide what’s best for their way of life.

During her free time, Tammy, a devoted mother of three, brings the same dedication to her family as she does to her profession. Joining Gladden Longevity (GL), she found an environment that resonates with her commitment to patient-centered values. The absence of rigid protocols and the focus on youth and longevity align perfectly with her holistic approach to well-being.

Melissa Markel is a dedicated and compassionate board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in functional medicine and anti-aging. With a profound passion for empowering her patients to achieve optimal health and wellness, Melissa’s journey in healthcare has been marked by a commitment to excellence.

Melissa’s nursing journey began at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. The next four years saw her flourishing in the fast-paced environment of the Emergency Room, where she honed her skills as a nurse and developed an unwavering sense of responsibility for patient care.

Fueled by a desire to further her impact in healthcare, Melissa pursued higher education, obtaining her Master’s in Nursing from the University of Texas Arlington in 2020. Determined to stay at the forefront of medical advancements, she furthered her knowledge and expertise by completing the Fellowship in Anti-Aging and Metabolic Medicine from the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine in 2021.

With her specialized training in functional medicine and anti-aging, Melissa has cultivated a broad range of skills that allow her to offer comprehensive care to her patients. She is well-versed in hormone replacement therapies, IV therapy, peptide therapy, medical weight loss, lifestyle coaching, and aesthetic neurotoxin injections. By leveraging these modalities, she strives to optimize her patients’ health and vitality, enabling them to lead fulfilling lives.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Melissa cherishes her moments outside of work. A fitness enthusiast, she finds joy in regular exercise, acknowledging the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Additionally, she is an avid reader, constantly seeking knowledge and growth. Most importantly, Melissa treasures quality time with her daughter and two cherished cats.
